Everything you need to know about VibeCodeKidz
VibeCodeKidz is a game creation platform where kids and teens use AI assistants to build real, playable games. Just describe what you want to create, and the AI helps you build it — no coding experience needed!
VibeCodeKidz is designed for creators of all ages. We have two tiers:
Click "Sign Up" and choose a username, display name, and password. If you're under 13, we'll ask for your parent's email to get their permission before you can start creating.
Yes! We offer a free tier with 3 games per month and 10 prompts per day. Paid tiers (Creator at $13/month and Pro at $21/month) unlock more games, prompts, and premium features.
If your child is under 13, yes. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and require verifiable parental consent. You can verify via a small refundable credit card charge ($0.50) or by email confirmation.
When you approve your child's account, you'll receive a link to your Parent Command Center. From there you can:
Only with your explicit approval. When your child wants to publish a game, it appears in your Parent Command Center for review. You approve or deny each game individually. You can also disable publishing entirely with a toggle.
Multiplayer rooms use preset phrase-only chat (e.g., "Nice!", "Good game!"). Free-text chat is never available. Multiplayer is disabled by default for under-13 accounts and must be enabled by a parent.
Our PII (Personally Identifiable Information) scanner automatically detects and removes personal details like names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, and social media handles from prompts before they reach our AI providers. AI-generated output is also scanned before delivery.
Use the Parent Command Center (linked in your consent approval email), or email admin@vibecodekidz.org. We respond within 48 hours.
AI prompts are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic, xAI, and OpenAI) to generate game code. Before transmission, all prompts are automatically stripped of personal information. Neither Anthropic, xAI, nor OpenAI train their models on our data.
No. We do not display advertising, use analytics trackers (like Google Analytics), or employ social media tracking pixels. All fonts and assets are self-hosted. We do not use cookies for tracking.
Games are private by default. You choose whether to publish to the public Arcade. For under-13 users, a parent must approve each game before it goes public. Published games show only your display name (never real names or personal info).
Every published game has a "Report" button. Select a reason and our team will review it. We take reports seriously and act quickly to remove content that violates our guidelines.
Yes. Teen users (13+) can export their data and delete their account from their account settings. For under-13 users, parents can do this through the Parent Command Center. You can also email us at admin@vibecodekidz.org.
Anything your imagination can dream up! Platformers, puzzle games, racing games, RPGs, space shooters, art toys, and more. Just describe what you want and the AI will help you build it.
Not at all! The AI writes the code for you. Just describe what you want in plain English. As you learn, you can also edit the code directly in the studio.
Yes! Games that support multiplayer let you create a room and invite friends with a 4-character code. Communication is limited to preset kid-safe phrases for everyone's safety.
They stay private in your studio. Only you can see and edit them. You can publish them later if you want, or keep them private forever.
We accept credit and debit cards through Stripe. We also accept ESA (Education Savings Account) payments through ClassWallet for qualifying families.
Yes, you can cancel anytime. Your paid features remain active until the end of your billing period, then your account reverts to the free tier. Your games and projects are preserved.
Click "Forgot Password" on the login screen. For under-13 users, the reset link goes to the parent email on file. For 13+ users with a recovery email, the link goes there. Otherwise, email admin@vibecodekidz.org for help.
